3. How we use personal information

Personal information is processed lawfully, fairly and only for the purposes for which it was collected. Nexus Capital uses personal information to:

Where personal information is transferred outside South Africa, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient is subject to protections substantially similar to POPIA.

6. Confidentiality of investment submissions

Business summaries, pitch materials and supporting documents submitted through the Submit an Opportunity form are treated as confidential and are reviewed only for the purpose of assessing the opportunity. They are not published, disclosed to third parties without your consent, or used for any purpose unrelated to the evaluation of your submission.

Submitting an opportunity does not guarantee investment or create any obligation between the parties.

7. Security safeguards

Nexus Capital maintains reasonable and appropriate technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. These include access controls, encrypted communications where practical, restricted internal access and secure document handling.

No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and you provide information at your own risk.

8. Retention

Personal information is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, to comply with legal or regulatory obligations, or to protect our legitimate interests. Information that is no longer required is securely destroyed, deleted or de-identified.

9. Your rights under POPIA

  • Request confirmation of, and access to, the personal information Nexus Capital holds about you.
